etadvīrāsanaṃ proktaṃ kṛcchrakṛttena pāpahā /
aṣṭabhiḥ pratyahaṃ grāsair yaticāndrāyaṇaṃ smṛtaṃ //
this is declared to be the heroic posture (vīrāsana); by this, the performer of the kṛcchra destroys sin. / Eating eight mouthfuls each day is known as the ascetic's cāndrāyaṇa.
