rukmasteyī surāpaś ca brahmahā gurutalpagaḥ /
steyaṃ kṛtvā surāṃ pītvā kṛcchrañcābdaṃ carennaraḥ //
A thief of gold, a drinker of liquor, a killer of a Brahmin, and one who violates a guru's bed— / a man who commits theft or drinks liquor should observe a kṛcchra for a year.
