auṣadhādyupakāre tu na pāpaṃ syāt kṛte mṛte /
putraṃ śiṣyantathā bhāryāṃ śāsate na mṛte hy aghaṃ //
When assistance through medicine and the like has been rendered and death occurs, there is no sin. / In the case of disciplining a son, a pupil, or a wife, if death occurs, there is indeed no guilt.
