rājasūyābhiṣiktānāmādyaḥ(1) sa pṛthivīpatiḥ /
tasmāccaiva samutpannau nipuṇau sūtamāgadhau //
He was the first of the earth's kings consecrated in the Rājasūya sacrifice; / and from him were born the skilled bard (sūta) and herald (māgadha).
