agnir uvāca
saptamīvratakaṃ vakṣye sarveṣāṃ bhuktimuktidaṃ(2) /
māghamāse 'bjake śukle sūryaṃ prārcya viśokabhāk //
Agni said: / I shall explain the votive observance of the seventh lunar day, which grants worldly enjoyment and liberation to all. / Having thoroughly worshipped the sun on the bright seventh lunar day in the month of Māgha, one becomes free of sorrow.
