mayā dattaṃ gṛhāṇa tvaṃ kuru cordhvagatiṃ ca māṃ /
viśvāya viśvapataye viśveśāya namo namaḥ(2) //
Receive [this lamp] offered by me, and grant me the upward path! / Homage, homage to the all, to the lord of the universe, to the master of the universe!
