kauśikastaṃ gṛhītvā tu gopālaiścārayan vṛṣaṃ /
gaṅgāyāṃ snānakṛtye 'tha(5) nītaś caurair vṛṣastadā //
Kauśika took that bull and grazed it with the cowherds. / Then, during the bath in the Gaṅgā, the bull was carried off by thieves.
