dvādaśyāṃ pūjayedviṣṇuṃ pralipyābjotpalādibhiḥ /
ghṛtena tilatailena dīpanaivedyamarpayet //
one should worship Viṣṇu on the twelfth lunar day, anointing [the icon] with blue and white lotuses and the like,
and should offer lamps and food-offerings prepared with ghee and sesame oil.
