pāyasāśī goyugadaḥ śrībhāgdevīvratī bhavet /
nivedya pitṛdevebhyo yo bhuṅkte sa bhavennṛpaḥ //
Consuming milk pudding and giving a pair of cows, one shares in Śrī and becomes an observer of the goddess's vow.
One who eats only after offering to the ancestors and gods becomes a king.
