agnir uvāca
puṣpādyaiḥ pūjanādviṣṇor na yāti narakāndave /
āyuṣo 'nte naraḥ prāṇairanicchannapi mucyate //
Agni said: / By worshipping Viṣṇu with flowers and other offerings, a man does not go to the blinding hells. / At the end of his lifespan, he is released from his vital breaths even against his will.
