siddhāntānāṃ pradānena mokṣamāpnotyasaṃśayaṃ /
vidyādānamavāpnoti pradānāt pustakasya tu //
Through the gift of philosophical treatises, one undoubtedly attains liberation. / But one obtains [the merit of] the gift of knowledge through the donation of a manuscript.
