vindhyaś ca pāripātraś ca girayaḥ śāntidāstu te /
ṛgvedādyāḥ ṣaḍaṅgāni itihāsapurāṇakaṃ //

the Vindhya and Pāripātra—may these mountains grant you peace! / The [Vedas] beginning with the Ṛgveda, the six auxiliary limbs, the epics and Purāṇas;
