puṣkara uvāca
rājaputrasya rakṣā ca kartavyā pṛthivīkṣitā /
dharmārthakāmaśāstrāṇi dhanurvedañca śikṣayet //
Puṣkara said:
The prince must be protected by the ruler of the earth;
and he should instruct him in the treatises on duty, wealth, and pleasure, and in archery.
