dānavāneva śaknoti saṃhatān bhedituṃ parān /
trayāsādhyaṃ sādhayettaṃ daṇḍena ca kṛtena ca //
Only a generous man is able to divide united enemies; / what cannot be accomplished by the three, he should accomplish through punishment when applied.
