yātrāvighātamācaṣṭe vāmapārśvaṃ tathā spṛśan /
heṣamāṇaḥ śatruyodhaṃ pādasparśī jayāvahaḥ //
it indicates an obstacle to the expedition; likewise, touching its left flank [is ominous]. / Neighing [and] touching an enemy warrior with its hoof brings victory.
