yātuḥ kāko 'nukūlastu kṣemaḥ karmakṣamo bhavet /
na tvarthasādhako jñeyaḥ pratikūlo bhayāvahaḥ //
A favorable crow brings welfare to a traveler and makes him successful in his endeavor; / but an unfavorable [crow] is to be known as not accomplishing aims and bringing fear.
