tathārimitramitrañca vijigīṣoḥ puraḥ smṛtāḥ(1) /
pārṣṇigrāhaḥ smṛtaḥ paścādākrandastadanantaraṃ //
likewise the enemy's friend's friend—these are declared to be in front of the ambitious conqueror. / In the rear is declared the rearward enemy, and following him, the rearward ally.
