sattvādisañjñā(1) pūrvāśā dvādaśāṅgulamucchritā /
aṣṭāṅgulā dvyaṅulātha caturaṅgulavistṛtā //
Designated as sattva and the like, [the tiers] in the eastern direction are twelve finger-breadths high, / eight finger-breadths, [and] two finger-breadths; and [each is] four finger-breadths wide.
