pūrvaṃ pūrvaṃ garīyastu balānāṃ vyasanaṃ tathā /
ṣaḍaṅgaṃ mantrakoṣābhyāṃ padātyaśvarathadvipaiḥ //
Each preceding one is more important, and likewise is the calamity of the armies. / [The army is] six-limbed through counsel and the treasury, and with infantry, horses, chariots, and elephants.
