koṭī ca vyūhaśāstrajñaiḥ saptāṅgo vyūha ucyate /
urasyakakṣapakṣāstu vyūho 'yaṃ sapratigrahaḥ //
and the two tips (*koṭī*): by the knowers of the science of battle-arrays, an array is said to have seven limbs. / The array consisting of center, flanks, and wings is provided with a reserve.
