svastikenātra kurvīta praṇāmaṃ prathamaṃ dvija /
kāmukaṃ gṛhya vāmena vāṇaṃ dakṣiṇakena tu //
Here, O twice-born, one should first make obeisance in the svastika stance, / taking the bow with the left hand and the arrow with the right.
