vyāpakaṃ mānasaṃ nyasya tatoṅguṣṭāditaḥ kramāt /
mūrdhāsyahṛdguhyapatsu kathitaḥ karuṇātmakaḥ //
Having deposited the mind pervasively, then in sequence from the thumbs onward, / [and] on the head, mouth, heart, genitals, and feet, the compassionate [Self] is declared.
