surākāmadyūtakṛtandaṇḍaśulkāvaśiṣṭakam /
vṛthā dānaṃ tathaiveha putro dadyānna paitṛkam //
A debt incurred for liquor, lust, or gambling, the remainder of a fine or toll, / or an idle gift—the son here need not pay such a paternal debt.
