darśanapratibhūryatra mṛtaḥ prātyayiko 'pi vā /
na tatputrā dhanaṃ dadyurdadyurdānāya ye sthitāḥ //
Where a surety for appearance or one for confidence has died, / his sons need not pay the money; those who stood for payment must pay.
