sa tamādāya saptaiva maṇḍalāni śatair vrajet /
ṣoḍaśāṅgulakaṃ jñeyaṃ maṇḍalaṃ tāvadantaram //
Taking that, he should walk through seven circles with paces; / a circle is to be understood as sixteen aṅgulas, and the interval between them the same.
