devatāgurupādāś ca iṣṭāpūrtakṛtāni ca /
ityete sukarāḥ proktāḥ śapathāḥ svalpasaṃśaye //
the feet of deities and gurus, and the merit of sacrifices and charitable works— / these are declared easy oaths in cases of minor doubt.
