anṛte tu pṛthagdaṇḍyā rājñā madhyamasāhasam /
abhāve jñātṛcihnānāṃ rājā sīmnaḥ pravattakaḥ //
If they speak falsely, however, they are to be punished individually by the king with the middle fine for violence; / in the absence of witnesses and markers, the king shall establish the boundary.
