tena prākṛtikān pāśān grathitvā tattvasaṅkhyayā(3) /
kṛtvā śarāve tat sūtraṃ kuṇḍapārśve nidhāya tu(4) //
Having tied the material bonds with that [cord] according to the number of cosmic principles (tattva), / placing that cord in a shallow dish, and depositing it beside the fire-pit,
