nārāyaṇāntaiḥ samprokṣya kuśāgraistena tāṃbhuvaṃ(3)/
vikirānvāsudevena kṣipeduttānapāṇinā //
and having sprinkled that ground with the tips of kuśa grass [using the mantras] ending with Nārāyaṇa, / should scatter the grains with [the mantra of] Vāsudeva with the palm turned upward.
