agnir uvāca
sūryavaṃśaṃ somavaṃśaṃ rajñāṃ vaṃśaṃ vadami te /
harerbrahmā padmago 'bhūnmarīcirbrahmaṇaḥ sutaḥ //
Agni said: / I shall tell you of the Solar Dynasty, the Lunar Dynasty, and the dynasty of kings. / From Hari, Brahmā arose seated on a lotus; Marīci was the son of Brahmā.
