nābhāgasya ca putrau dvau vaiśyau brāhmaṇatāṃ gatau /
karūṣasya tu kārūṣāḥ kṣatriyā yuddhadurmadāḥ //
And the two sons of Nābhāga, [though born] Vaiśyas, attained the status of Brahmins. / But the descendants of Karūṣa were the Kārūṣas, Kṣatriyas intoxicatingly fierce in battle.
