grahāś ca heṣite caiva tathaivorasi vāsukiḥ /
upoṣito 'rcayet sādī hayaṃ dakṣaśrutau japet //
the planets in its neighing, and Vāsuki upon its chest. / Fasting, the horseman should worship the horse and recite [the mantra] into its right ear.
