puruṣāddakṣiṇe ca vahniṃ nairṛte vāruṇenilaṃ /
ādityamaindave padme ṛgyajuś caiśapadmake //
And to the south of Puruṣa, Fire; in the south-west, Wind in the western [lotus];
the Sun in the northern lotus; and the Ṛg[veda] and Yajur[veda] in the north-eastern lotus.
