agnir uvāca
vākkarmapārśvayukśukratokakṛte mato plavaḥ /
hutāntā deśavarṇeyaṃ vidyā mukhyā sarasvatī //
Agni said:
Joined with speech and action on both sides, for the sake of the offspring of Śukra, a vessel is considered;
ending with fire, this is the prime vidyā Sarasvatī of the region's letters.
