īśaḥ kirātarūpo 'bhūt purā gaurī ca tādṛśī /
japeddhyāyet pūjayettāṃ sarvasiddhyaiviṣādihṛt //
The Lord assumed the form of a Kirāta mountain hunter of old, and Gaurī took a similar form. / One should recite [her mantra], meditate on her, and worship her for all supernatural powers, as the remover of poison and [other ills].
