apamārjanakaṃ śastraṃ sarvarogādivāraṇam /
ayaṃ hariḥ kuśo viṣṇurhatā rogā mayā tava //
The wiping [rite] is a weapon that wards off all diseases and ailments. / This Hari, the kuśa grass, is Viṣṇu; your diseases have been destroyed by me.
