gomadhye nāma saṃlikhya cāṣṭapatre ca madhyataḥ /
śmaśānādipaṭe śmaśānāṅgāreṇa vilekhayet //
Having written the name in the centre of the cow and in the centre of an eight-petalled lotus, / on a cloth from a cremation ground or the like, one should write it with charcoal from a cremation ground.
