agnir uvāca
nirvāṇādiṣu dīkṣāsu cattvāriṃśattathāṣṭa ca /
saṃskārān kārayeddhīmān śṛṇutānyaiḥ suro bhavet //
Agni said: / In the liberating and other initiations, a wise man should perform forty-eight / saṃskāras. Listen to those by which one becomes a god.
