phaṭkārāntāṃ śikhāṃ japtvā sarṣapān dikṣu nikṣipet /
vāsudevena gomūtraṃ saṅkarṣaṇena gomayam //

having recited the crest-mantra ending in phaṭ, one should scatter mustard seeds in all directions. / [One should take] cow's urine with the Vāsudeva [mantra], and cow dung with the Saṅkarṣaṇa [mantra];
