dharmopaghātajaścittavilāsajanitas tathā /
śokaḥ śokādbhavet sthāyī kaḥ sthāyī pūrvajo mataḥ //
arising from the destruction of righteousness, and produced from agitation of the mind; / sorrow arises from sorrow; the permanent state [is sorrow]—the first-born is considered a permanent state.
