upamānena yattatvamupameyasya rūpyate /
guṇānāṃ samatāṃ dṛṣṭvā rūpakaṃ nāma tadviduḥ //
When the nature of the object compared is represented by the standard of comparison / upon observing equality of attributes, the wise know that as metaphor.
