gandhapuṣpākṣatopetaṃ pavitrañcākhilerpayet (1) /
pavitraṃ vaiṣṇavaṃ tejo mahāpātakanāśanaṃ //

He should offer the sacred cord, provided with sandalwood paste, flowers, and unbroken grains, to the universe: / "The sacred cord is Vaiṣṇava splendor, the destroyer of great sins;
