apadānaṃ dvidhā proktaṃ calamaśvāttu dhāvataḥ /
patitaścācalaṃ grāmādāgacchati sa vaiṣṇavaḥ //
The point of departure (apādāna) is said to be of two kinds: moving, as in 'fallen from a running horse'; / and unmoving: 'that Vaiṣṇava comes from the village.'
