vidhinā vighnalopena paripūrṇaṃ tadastu me /
prārthya natvā kṣamāpyātha pavitraṃ mastake 'rpayet //
may that become completely fulfilled for me according to rule despite the obstacle of omission." / Having prayed, bowed, and asked forgiveness, he should then place the sacred thread upon [his own] head.
