agnir uvāca
sāmānyāny atha vakṣyāmi nāmaliṅgāni tacchṛṇu /
sukṛtī puṇyavān dhnayo mahecchastu mahāśayaḥ //
Agni said:
I shall now declare the common nouns and their genders; listen to that.
One who has done good deeds is *sukṛtin*, *puṇyavat*, and *dhanya*; magnanimous is *maheccha* and *mahāśaya*.
