vasanti viṣṇau bhutāni sa ca dhātustridhātmakaḥ /
evaṃ harau hi bhagavān śabdo 'nyatropacārataḥ //
Beings reside in Viṣṇu, and that verbal root has a threefold nature; / thus the word *bhagavān* truly applies to Hari, but elsewhere only metaphorically.
