dehaścānyo yadā puṃsastadā bandhāya tatparaṃ /
nirvāṇamaya evāyamātmā jñānamayo 'malaḥ //
Since the body is distinct from the person, it then leads to bondage; / this self is entirely of the nature of nirvāṇa, of knowledge, and spotless.
