brāhmaṇa uvāca
śabdohamiti doṣāya nātmanyeṣa tathaiva tat /
anātmanyātmavijñānaṃ śabdo vā bhrāntilakṣaṇaḥ //
The brāhmaṇa said: / "The word 'I' does not bring fault with respect to the self; that is indeed true. / The notion of self in what is not the self, or the word, has the mark of delusion."
