ātmānaṃ manyate brahma jīvo jñānena nānyathā /
jīvo hy ajñānatatkāryamuktaḥ syādajarāmaraḥ //
The individual soul considers itself as brahman through knowledge, not otherwise; / for freed from ignorance and its effects, the individual soul becomes ageless and immortal.
