prāṅmukhastu guruḥ kuryādaṣṭadikṣu vilipya ca /
madhye caikāṃ śilāṃ kumbhaṃ nyasedetān surān kramāt //
Facing east, the guru should anoint them in the eight directions, / and in the middle deposit one stone and a pitcher, and these deities in sequence:
